GYMNASTICS

Gymnastics is a sport nearly 2000 years old that focus on acrobatic training to build strength, proper body position, coordination, spatial awareness, and flexibility. Few, if any, other types of training will supplement your phusical sport capabilities the way gymnastics training can.

RANK SYSTEM

We break our students into colored Ranks, similar to the colored belt system of martial arts. Signified by a wristband or hero shirt.

CURRICULUM

Firestorm Gymnastics classes are broken into five primary Events: Floor, Vaulting, Beam, Rings, and Bars. Each Gymnastics class is centered around one to two Events at a time, focusing on learning skills specific to that Event. The more classes students are enrolled in per week, the faster skills can be learned 

Gymnastics classes have seven different Ranks, each progressively building on the skill learned in the last Rank. All new students begin in White Rank classes, regardless of age, gender, or prior experience. 

The Firestorm Curriculum has been designed to teach students safe and controlled movement first, followed later by flashier tricks and flips. Multiple Coaches, teaching thousands of students over more than two decade have worked together to create the most well-rounded academy Gymnastics curriculums anywhere in the US.

FLOOR: Floor class is where you will learn the main staple of gymnastics: Tumbling. This class introduces you to handstands, cartwheels, rolls, and flips. You will increase your balance and coordination in this class.

VAULT: Vaulting takes a coordinated effort of mixing running, jumping, and aerial awareness. Vaulting class uses trampolines and spring boards to give you extra power so you can practice your aerial awareness and skills.

BEAM: Beam class is where balance, body positioning, and control come together. We use different height balance beams, from floor height, to hip height to practice walking, balancing, spinning, and dismount skills.

RINGS: This is where you will build strength. Rings require both fast twitch muscles, where you learn to keep your balance while under strain, and slow twitch, heavy strength based exercises. You will learn to swing, invert, and hold yourself in the air in multiple body positions.

BARS: Bars class is one of the most fun where you learn everything from balancing on a bar, how to get up and down bars over your head height, to swinging, and flipping off the bars.
